Nate and I have decided we want to add one more little one to our family. Hopefully, soon I’ll have some news. But, when I think back on my pregnancies, I remember the morning sickness that lasts forever and the cravings. What kind of crazy cravings did you have during pregnancy?
I had all kinds of intense cravings. I found when I was craving something, even if I was still nauseous from my morning sickness, if I ate what I was craving, I felt so much better. So, I gave in to most of my cravings. With my first and second pregnancies, I wanted kosher pickles and apple juice. My husband would find me standing in front of the fridge drinking apple juice right from the bottle. However, the pickles could not be cold. I’d only eat them if they were room temperature.
My other craving was pepperoni pizza. I could have eaten pepperoni pizza 3 times a day forever when I was pregnant. It was all I wanted to eat sometimes, and I could not get enough.
With all 3 of pregnancies, I had morning sickness through the entire pregnancy every single time. Mornings were the worst, and it would last for 2-3 hours. Thankfully, I learned about Sea-Mama bands and lived in them. The Sea-Band Mama wrist bands use acupressure to trigger the P6 Nei Kuan pressure point on the inside of the wrist to alleviate nausea from morning sickness. Stimulating this pressure point helps the body to calm nausea and vomiting.
It’s funny — with every pregnancy, I thought I was going to be fine and not get sick. The first 8 weeks, I always feel like I’m not even pregnant. Then, about 9-10 weeks, the morning sickness comes in with a bang. I stay pretty much green for the rest of my pregnancy. But, using the Sea-Mama bands were such a lifesaver, especially when I was working.
With my morning sickness, I also lived on ginger like ginger tea, ginger ale to help with the nausea. My doctor had offered medication, but I wanted to say as drug free as possible. I wish I had known about Sea Mama ginger lozenges. Free from artificial colors and flavors, Sea-Band Mama Ginger Lozenges were formulated with essential ginger oils to help relieve upset stomach. They also include folic acid to contribute to a normal maternal tissue growth during pregnancy.
The Sea-Band Mama line provides effective ways to ease morning sickness naturally with drug-free acupressure wristbands and ginger lozenges, used separately or together. Sea-Band Mama products use no drugs and have no side effects, and are safe for use during pregnancy. You can find the Sea-Band Mama line available at CVS and Drugstore.com
