Boy, I’ve been so busy for the last 2 weeks. I feel terrible I didn’t get The Weekend Feast up last weekend. But, it was Mother’s Day. My family took me to one of my favorite restaurants, BJ’s Brewhouse. Love that Berry Burst Cider! Then, we spent all day on Sunday at Six Flags. Then we went back to Six Flags this weekend again.
Now onto the The Weekend Feast #5, even though the weekend is pretty much over. But, that’s okay! These wonderful recipes are from the last 2 weeks.
Here’s a closer look at each:
Doesn’t this White Chicken Chili from The Lives and Loves of Grumpy’s Honeybunch look wonderfully delicious? I confess I’ve never eaten a white chili before, but I am dying to make this for my family. I think they’ll love it.
We love homemade pizza in this house. One of the easiest ways to make homemade pizza is on french bread. Check out this lovely recipe for French Bread Pizza from McCallum’s Shamrock Patch. I always forget how easy it is to whip up pizza with french bread. I need to make some soon!
One thing I’ve always wanted to learn to make is Angel Food cake. This recipe from Bunny’s Warm Oven makes it look so easy! I am definitely going to give it a try this summer.
Here’s another thing I’ve always wanted to make – pot pie. Check out this lentil pot pie recipe from What’s on the List. Usually when I have these ingredients I whip up a soup or stew, but I think my family would love homemade pot pie.
I just love ravioli. Well, I love just about any Italian dish if I’m being honest, lol. Check out how easy it is to make Homemade Ravioli from Wine Lady Cooks. I think I want to give it a try! Long ago I bought a ravioli set to make my own, but just never got around to it. I think I finally got rid of it in a garage sale before I got addicted to cooking.
Recently, I was on the hunt for a smores-type cookie. Then, I happened upon Life Current’s Rocky Road cookies. They seem a lot like what I was looking for with chocolate and marshmallows! They look delicious! This will be a fun one to try and send to Nate’s work soon.
Last but not least is one of my faves I recently made. These Peanut Butter Lover Cheesecake Bars are surprisingly easy and very decadent. Your guests will rave about these, and they really are fairly easy to make.
