I grew up with a football-watching family every Sunday. My husband is more a gamer, so typically, we don’t watch a lot of football on television…until this year.
Our oldest daughter was in the color guard in high school, so we were rooting the high school team on every Friday night for years. Now our daughter is in her freshman year and has joined the color guard at her university. Unfortunately, it’s a four-hour drive, so we are only going to attend one game this year (in 3 weeks! I can’t wait!) But, frequently, they are on one of the college football channels, so now we can watch it on tv!
One thing I remember about Sunday afternoons is the snacks my mom made for game time. One of my favorite football-watching snacks is pizza! Red Baron makes the perfect pizzas you can easily pick up at Sam’s Club. We always find the best snacks at Sam’s Club!
This past week I picked up both Red Baron Minis and Red Baron Deep Dish Singles. They are just PERFECT for serving at game time.
I combined them with some of my favorite dipping sauces, and we had a delicious afternoon.
My family loves to taste all the pizzas, so for the Deep Dish Singles I just sliced them into sticks. The minis are perfect snack size, too. Plus, we always need a little football dessert. These are chocolate snack cakes I just added some frosting to make them look football-themed.
For dipping sauces, I whipped up some Red Italian House Dressing and Roasted Garlic Butter and then we had ranch dressing as well. You can’t go wrong with ranch for dipping sauce.
This Roasted Garlic Dipping Sauce is incredibly easy to make. I keep a jar of minced garlic in the fridge.
I just put a couple tablespoons in a baking dish and roasted it over about 20 minutes, while I was baking the pizzas at the same time!
Then, I combined it with some Italian seasoning, Parmesan cheese, olive oil, and melted butter. This Roasted Garlic Dipping Sauce is one of my favorite dipping sauces for pizza. You’ll just love it!Print
