I don’t know if you can tell from my blog, but I have a bit of a sweet tooth. One of my favorite things to satisfy my sweet tooth is pie. Recently, I found some delicious fruit bars at Walmart in the breakfast bar section. They taste like pie and are just perfect for my sweet tooth!
They are Betty Lou’s Fruit Bars, and you can find them at Walmart and Betty Lou’s Inc! Walmart has four flavors, but you can find even more at Betty Lou’s. There is:
- Apple Cinnamon
- Blueberry
- Blackberry
- Cherry
Not only do they taste like pie, but they’re gluten free and vegan. Plus, they don’t contain any of the 8 major food allergens, which means I can feed them to my toddler without worrying! My kids think they’re a pretty great snack, too!
These are now one of the foods I keep in my bag when we’re out and about and need a quick snack, like today at the playground.
Blackberry Smoothie
You can also turn these fruit bars into something extra special! Crumble one over some ice cream and have an easy pie ala mode treat! This would be perfect for birthday parties instead of cake, especially when there are kids with allergies.
We also found a great another great way to enjoy these fruit bars was in a smoothie. It’s basically a Pie Smoothie and take just a minute to whip up!
My favorite was blackberry, so I mixed it with strawberry yogurt and milk. It tasted amazing! This would be such an easy breakfast when you don’t have a lot of time and for those of us who love fruit, pie, and smoothies.

Description
Betty Lou’s Fruit Bars taste amazing just by themselves, but you can also put one in a smoothie for a delicious Blackberry Smoothie to enjoy.
Ingredients
- 1 Betty Lou’s Fruit Bar – blackberry flavor
- 4 oz milk
- 6 oz strawberry yogurt
Instructions
Cut the bar into smaller pieces.
Combine all ingredients and blend until smooth.
Transfer into a glass and enjoy!
Notes
You can do this with any flavor of Betty Lou’s Fruit Bars for a delicious smoothie!
