A few days ago my two youngest daughters and I got the chance to attend a Disney Junior Live event in the Dallas area here in Texas. It was princess themed in celebration of the upcoming new episodes of Sofia the First and Elena of Avalor! My daughter was so excited to attend as Elena of Avalor is one of her absolute favorite princesses.
Check out all the fun we had including some great craft and recipe ideas for your own princess party. Plus, scroll on down to see when the new episodes are coming to Disney Junior this summer!
We got to sample some great party foods like empanadas and shredded beef tacos (a kid favorite!). There were even a couple of recipe ideas we got to try from other bloggers for #DisneyJuniorFRiYAY!
I just love the idea of a Churro Bar with dipping sauces like caramel, hazelnut spread, marshmallow creme, and more!
This was a deliciously refreshing Watermelon Aqua Fresca drink.
These Guava and Cheese pastries were amazing!
Then, it was time to get our craft on! My crafty girl spent most of her time at the craft table coloring Elena of Avalor coloring pages. She could not wait to get started making her own maraca.
There were markers, washi tape and sticker jewels to decorate plain wooden maracas.
Then it was Dance Party time with the kids’ new maracas and music from Disney Junior!
We headed outside for a little tea party picnic for Sofia the First with cupcakes, magical pretzel wands, and tiara cookies.
Then everyone relaxed a little and watched Elena of Avalor as the party wrapped up.
After a great princess party, the fun doesn’t have to end because new Disney Junior episodes premiere every “FRiYAY” this summer on Disney Channel including for Sofia the First and Elena of Avalor! Check out the schedule below for when new episodes premiere for your kids’ favorite shows:
FRiYAY, 8/4 – Sofia the First @ 9am
FRiYAY, 8/11 – Lion Guard @ 8am followed by all-new Mickey and the Roadster Racers and Puppy Dog Pals
FRiYAY, 8/18 – Sofia The First @ 9am followed by an all-new Elena of Avalor
I enjoy watching these shows just as much as my 7 year old, especially when there’s a new episode! We frequently watch them together on Disney Junior and love to create princess crafts together. I can’t wait to hear which is your favorite show on Disney Junior!
