Every Christmas Eve, we make something for Santa like decorating sugar cookies or whipping up something simple like marshmallow cereal treats. The kids love to make something new and special for Santa. We always write a little note for him and leave carrots for the reindeer. And, Santa usually writes us back when he eats our snacks!
This year we will be making some Nilla Fluffernutter sandwiches with NILLA Wafers, Peter Pan Simply Ground™, and marshmallow creme that will be dipped in chocolate for a decadent treat! We can’t forget a nice hot drink like some Swiss Miss® hot cocoa. We found everything we needed right at Walmart. Make sure you click the banner below to get an Ibotta rebate for all of it!
These little cookie sandwiches are so easy to make, the kids can do it. Here’s all you need to do:
We make a dozen at a time, so I have my 6 year old count out 24 NILLA Wafers.
Then, put Peter Pan Simply Ground™ on 12 of them. My kids love it because it’s creamy with a bit of crunch to it. Next, put marshmallow creme on the other 12.
Then, it’s time to put one peanut butter side and one marshmallow side together to form little sandwiches.
Next, I melt a bar of chocolate in the microwave for 30 seconds, then stir. Then, I microwave an additional 20 seconds so that it’s evenly melted and stir.
Lay out a piece of wax paper or parchment paper on a cookie sheet that will fit in the freezer, and then start dipping your little sandwiches!
Dip half of each cookie sandwich in the chocolate, let it drip off the extra, and then place it on the cookie sheet. Once you’ve finished, put them in the freezer for 10-15 minutes to harden the chocolate.
